KIP Lecture 2021, Student Account Registration is Open
Good news! High school students or equivalent who will graduate in the current year or two years before have the opportunity to register for the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) Lecture program in 2021. Registration for KIP College student accounts has been open from February 8, 2021 to October 31, 2021.
Reporting from the official website kip-kuliah.kemdikbud.go.id on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Ainum Na'im as the Acting Officer (Plt) of the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Education and Culture stated that KIP College should be able to be used by high school and vocational high school graduates. or equivalent throughout Indonesia, to be able to pursue higher education in order to contribute to the development of the nation as well as to increase the economic level of each family.

The requirements for KIP Tuition recipients include: (1) College KIP recipients are High School Students (SMA), Vocational High Schools (SMK), or other forms of the equivalent who will graduate in the current year or graduate 2 (two) years earlier ; (2) Has good academic potential but has economic limitations supported by valid documentary evidence; (3) Pass the selection of new student admissions through all tertiary entry pathways and are accepted at State Universities (PTN) or Private Universities (PTS) in an accredited Study Program.
Then, the requirements for economic limitations can be proven through the ownership of a national education assistance program in the form of a Smart Indonesia Card (KIP); or come from a family that participates in the Family Hope Program (PKH); or Welfare Family Card (KKS) holders, or students from social institutions / orphanages, or students from families who fall into the decile less or equal to category 4 (four) in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).
If prospective recipients do not meet one of these criteria, then they can still register for KIP Tuition as long as they meet the requirements of being economically disadvantaged. The proof is seen from the combined gross income of parents / guardians at most 4 million rupiah per month or the combined gross income of parents / guardians divided by the maximum number of family members of 750 thousand rupiah.
