Every year, STIE Perbanas Surabaya students always innovate to create different records. This time, students of class 2019 have successfully broken the record for the Poster Campaign for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Social Media. This award was given directly by the World Indonesia Achievement Institute (LEPRID) to the Chairperson of STIE Perbanas Surabaya on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Located at the Campus 1 Auditorium of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, this activity carries the theme "Young Leaders' Contribution in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals Through a Virtual Poster Campaign ”.

Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, this did not prevent the enthusiasm of students from transmitting enthusiasm and being involved in the international SDGs program. It is important to note that the SDGs are a global action plan agreed upon by world leaders, including Indonesia, to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect the environment. The SDGs contain 17 goals and 169 targets which are expected to be achieved by 2030.

The Chief Executive of SSM 2020, Lufi Yuwana Mursita said that the pandemic period was not an obstacle to keep being creative and making STIE Perbanas Surabaya students enthusiastic in fostering creativity. He told Super Soft Skills Mentoring as an annual activity of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. "The purpose of holding this event is to improve the soft skills of students, especially for new students. This activity was held for 9 months from March 2020 to November 28, 2020 as a closing, namely the peak of the record, "he explained.

Lufi continued, the SDGs idea was sparked by the mentees, namely participants who took part in this super soft skill mentoring in 686 students and produced 1372 virtual posters that were massively published on Instagram social media in the form of Feeds and Insta-Stories. "Hopefully, these student works can help the community to maintain and increase awareness of global issues related to social, economic, and environmental life," he added.

Ketua SITE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., terima penghargaan untuk mahasiswa setempat

Meanwhile, the Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., emphasized that this year's record only involved students because it was related to the pandemic, making it impossible to mobilize people on campus. According to him, this activity was a reflection of the campus vision, namely leading and global. "This activity discusses global issues, even though we are in Surabaya, but we also do not ignore global issues with a concept abbreviated as SDGs," he said.

He also hopes that this record-breaking activity will become an inscription of achievement for students of class 2019. "Hopefully, when they are prominent they can produce their own achievement inscriptions so that later when they graduate they become excellent students so that this generation can inspire," he hoped.
