On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, hundreds of lecturers and green campus employees participated in various interesting competitions, including: Creation of various noodle dishes, Word Guessing Competition, and Flying Snack. All activities are part of a series of activities for the 49th Anniversary of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.
The Chief Executive of the Dies Natalis, Immanuel Candra Irawan, said that the competition could also increase the relationship between lecturers and employees. In addition, they are also invited to innovate according to the theme, namely the Transformation of STIE Perbanas Surabaya Towards a Digital-Based Superior Campus.
In this competition, all lecturers and employees were divided into 10 groups. Each group also consists of 15-16 members. In turn, they competed to win the Word Guess and Flying Snack categories. Meanwhile, for the Noodle Creation Competition, each group is given the freedom to make creations and innovations as interesting as possible as long as it fits the theme and captivates the jury's heart.
Like group 8, which made two tumpeng with the basic ingredients of noodles. Burhanudin, Ph.D., a member of group 8, presented that his tumpeng creation described STIE Perbanas Surabaya as having two campuses. In addition, the digital concept is also marked by the use of IoT (Internet of Things) devices. Its sophistication can be seen from the operation of hardware and software devices that can be controlled remotely by using the internet. This is realized by playing songs and turning on the lights with the application on Android. "So, this is the collaboration of noodle creations and the use of technology in the industrial era 4.0," he explained.
Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, M.Sc., said the meaning of the 49th Anniversary is that the campus is now ready to transform into a digital-based campus. In addition, STIE Perbanas Surabaya also aims to go global, where currently it has been 3 years of cooperation with Utrecht University in the Netherlands to hold a Summer School Program.
