Himapas STIE Perbanas Provides Personal Protective Equipment Assistance to Puskesmas and Kelurahan in Surabaya
The Postgraduate Student Association (Himapas) of Master of Management STIE Perbanas Surabaya took part in social activities when the Covid 19 outbreak hit. This Strata 2 (S2) student organization provides Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for residents and residents in the city of Surabaya. Direct assistance was distributed to Pukesmas and Kelurahan on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
The Head of Himapas MM STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Farhan Hisyam, S.M., said that this activity was one of his organization's work programs in the social sector. When the Covid-19 outbreak hit Indonesia, his party was just starting to change management. "Finally, we made a donation for Covid 19," he explained.
Farhan continued, this assistance was immediately given to Nginden Jangkungan Village and Pukesmas in the City of Surabaya, including: Menur Pukesmas, Sidosermo Pukesmas, Klampis Ngasem Puskesmas, and Keputih Puskesmas. The urban village is in the form of disinfectant for local residents. Then, the assistance from each Puskesmas was manifested in Masks, Medical Glasses, Medical Gloves, and Disinfectants. "A total of 32 disinfectant jerry cans, 40 boxes of masks, 20 boxes of Medical Gloves, and 60 boxes of Medical Glasses," he explained.
Through this social activity, Farhan and his team want to pass on the spirit of caring for others. All parties also have their respective duties and responsibilities, both medical personnel, related officials, and community members need to be aware of and apply health protocols. "Hopefully this epidemic will be over soon and also hopefully we care more about others and are aware of the importance of health," he hoped.
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, the Head of Puskesmas Klampis Ngasem Sukolilo, dr. Bambang Sulistyo, M.M., expressed his gratitude for the assistance delivered by Himapas MM STIE Perbanas Surabaya. The PPE and disinfectant assistance is certainly very useful, especially for operational activities at the Klampis Ngasem puskesmas. "Once again, thank you for the assistance that has been given, and I hope that Covid-19 will end soon and we can carry out our usual activities," said Bambang.
