The Marketing and Public Relations Unit of STIE Perbanas Surabaya held the Level 1 Indonesian Language Teacher Certificate Program (BIPA). Located in the Campus 1 Seminar Room, this event was held for the first time by the Accredited Institute A Business and Banking Campus for 3 days, Monday- Wednesday, 11-13 November 2019. A total of 26 participants came from various regions in Indonesia, from West Java, East Java, Kalimantan, to Bali.

Abu Amar Fauzi, S.S., M.M, as Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Division of STIE Perbanas Surabaya said this certificate program was a follow-up to the collaboration between the Association of Indonesian Language Teachers for Foreign Speakers (APBIPA) Bali and STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Number 4759 / M0.30003 / 04/19 dated April 8, 2019, the two parties agreed to organize the BIPA Level 1 Certificate Program on BIPA Teaching Methodology.

"The BIPA Teacher certificate program is a follow-up from two delegations of STIE Perbanas Surabaya lecturers in the BIPA Training Program in Yogyakarta a few months ago. One of them, including me, then met Mr. Nyoman Riasa as the Chairperson of APBIPA Bali, "he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., highly appreciates and supports the BIPA certificate program. In his speech, Yudi Sutarso admitted that this program really supports STIE Perbanas Surabaya in inviting foreign students to study on the campus he currently leads. Later, STIE Perbanas Surabaya will create a Language Center, namely the development of the existing Language Laboratory. "So, foreign students can later learn about Indonesian in Surabaya or at STIE Perbanas," he explained.

Before the material started, Deputy Head of Student Development and Public Relations, Dr. Basuki Rachmat, S.E., M.M., with the Head of APBIPA Bali, Drs. Nyoman Riasa, M.Ed., signed the minutes of activity with a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). Then it was continued with a photo session with the leaders of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, speakers, and participants of the Level 1 BIPA Teacher Certificate Program.
