Perbanas students turn used goods into things with aesthetics and quality
STIE Perbanas Surabaya students always want to inspire and create new works for the community for the betterment of the future of the nation. For this reason, the 2016 batch of students who joined the Super Softskill Mentoring (SSM) activity made products from used goods that were no longer used, then recycled them into useful products. The creative idea being realized at this time is the Softskill Clock.
Saturday, July 22 2017, as many as 629 students divided into 40 mentee groups (pronounced menti, the name for mentoring participants) presented many forms of soft skill clocks from various used materials, including: discs, motorcycle gers, paint caps, used spoons, and others. The idea of using used goods emerged from them with the guidance of mentors from 2015 class students.
Chief Executive, Putri Wulanditya, SE., M. Ak. said that each group of mentors made a unique Softskill Watch from unused items and materials that did not damage the environment. "The soft skill clock made by this student includes different soft skill attributes and is resistant to water. The points of assessment of the making of this Softskill Watch are Love for the Environment, Efficiency, Creativity, Resilience, and Innovation. "There are at least 200 Soft skill hours made in total," he explained.
The environmental concern of these Perbanas students has actually received support from The La Tofi School of CSR. His party specifically came to give an award for the Super Softskills Mentoring 2017 record with the theme "Manage Your Time, Save Your Future". The purpose of making Softskill Watches is to inspire people to always be disciplined about time. The time that has passed cannot be repeated so that students invite them to manage their time as well as possible in order to succeed in the future.
"The creations that are made by students' hands are made from trash or can be recycled, this shows that they love the environment and are good for appreciation. So, the work of jama or timepiece given messages or pearls of wisdom can be a motivation. This shows that they are exploring philosophical things that are shown from their soft skills, "said La Tofi.
These student soft skills products were distributed to SMA / SMK / MA equivalent in the cities of Surabaya and Sidoarjo. On this occasion, SMA Negeri 1 Sidoarjo, represented by Drs. Witjahjono, M.Pd., received in person the soft skill hours given by the leadership of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.
One of the mentees, Kharisma Brillianto, was impressed that he could play a role in achieving this year's record. "I can feel the togetherness and fighting spirit of my friends in realizing this creative idea. Hopefully our products are useful for the community, "hoped Kharisma. (Kristina.r)
