In order to produce graduates who are competitive, superior, and have global insight, STIE Perbanas Surabaya has again sent its students to study at Utrecht University, Netherlands. This week-long short lecture was attended by hundreds of students from various universities from around the world who were interested in joining the Summer School Program. The scholarship provider named Transfair Foundation trusts STIE Perbanas Surabaya because in the previous year they had already involved their students to enjoy the atmosphere of studying in this windmill country.

Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin., Explained that this study abroad program is needed for students so that they can get an increase in knowledge that has not been obtained domestically. This time, many STIE Perbanas Surabaya students are interested in joining the Summer School program at Utrecht University Netherlands.

Taking place at the Auditorium Campus 1 STIE Perbanas Surabaya, on Friday (21/4), the Transfair Foundation, Mr. Gerard Hilted and Prof. Arie Buijs (Utrecht University) symbolically handed over the Tansfair Academic Award scholarship to two selected students, namely Sandhi Wiratmoko and Yulia Frischanita to go to Utrecht University to join the Summer School Program 2017. The recipients of this scholarship will depart in July 2017.

According to Mr. Gerard Hilted, the first criteria for students who receive Transfair Foundation Scholarships in The Netherlands, have good English communication. In addition, these students have good academic abilities and achievements on campus. Finally, the scholarship recipients must also pass a selection held by the local campus. An unforgettable point, these students must also understand the culture of their country of origin, for example in Indonesia gamelan and dance.

The scholarship recipient, Sandhi Wiratmoko, did not think that he would be selected considering the quota is only one student. Sandhi plans to introduce Indonesian culture in the form of the Madura Dance. "I bring it to introduce Madura Dance and I will also learn about the culture in the Netherlands," said Sandhi.

Meanwhile, Yulia Frischanita intends to deepen entrepreneurship courses because in Utrecht she gets the material. He said he felt that the Netherlands was a developed country so that from the business world it could be said that it had quality. "Hopefully, after returning from the Netherlands, I will be able to apply this knowledge of entrepreneurship on campus and in the business world in Indonesia," Yulia hoped.
