On Friday, January 13 2017, STIE Perbanas Surabaya received a certificate of Institutional Accreditation "A" from BAN-PT, which at the end of 2016 had been determined. As a form of gratitude, STIE Perbanas Surabaya invited a number of parties including: Head of East Java Regional 7 Kopertis, East Java Perbanas Foundation Management, Perbanas HRD Club, and dozens of Counseling Guidance Teachers (BK) from various regions in East Java.

On this occasion, the Director of Higher Education Institutional Development, Dr. Totok Prasetyo, B.Eng., M.T., directly submitted the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to the Head of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin. The Accreditation Certificate was issued based on Decree Number 2985 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / PT / XII / 2016, dated December 20, 2016. Thus, STIE Perbanas Surabaya became the first private high school to win the title Very Good in all of Indonesia.

Dr. Totok Prasetyo, B.Eng., Said that STIE Perbanas Surabaya has been accredited by institution A which means that the quality of the campus is superior. He emphasized that the campus which is very well accredited by BAN-PT is judged by the number of lecturers with Doctoral and Professor titles with the status of lecturers, curriculum, governance, research and several other components. Private universities that have received the best predicate mean that they are able to compete with state universities. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kopertis Region 7 East Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suprapto, DEA., Added that STIE Perbanas Surabaya must be ready to become a role model for other private campuses, especially in the East Java region to encourage private campuses that are accredited B so that later they become accredited by institution A.
