The atmosphere looked different when entering the campus yard 1 STIE Perbanas Surabaya, on Tuesday, December 27 2016. More than 600 soft skill lanterns with colorful ideas of these students adorn the ceiling of the business and banking campus which is located at Jalan Nginden Semolo 34-36 Surabaya. These neatly lined lanterns were installed in commemoration of the 47th Anniversary of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.

In addition to the installation of soft skill lanterns, this year's Anniversary commemoration was also enlivened with various activities aimed at strengthening the relationship between the entire academic community of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. There are a series of activities scheduled, namely the VLOG Making Student Creativity Contest, Story Book Donation and Science for Border Children, Healthy Walks, Student Contest (Fun Stepping Contest, Spoiled Tails, and Employee Lecturers (Penguin Joget Competition, Ornamental Competition) Tart Cake, Making Rujak), to the top of the event which ended with a thanksgiving and Social Service (Distribution of Free Groceries).

The Chief Executive of the 47th Anniversary, Munawaroh, said that various colored soft skill lanterns were obtained from new students, which meant that the soft skills possessed by STIE Perbanas Surabaya students were quite numerous and varied. It is hoped that the diversity of soft skills or student skills will contribute to realizing the vision and mission of the campus to become a leading university in the Business and Banking sector with a global perspective. Then, the lights shining on the lanterns in the middle of the dark tonight indicated that the graduates of STIE Perbanas Surabaya had to be able to become lighters or pioneers in realizing the aspirations of the Indonesian nation to become a developed country.

In addition, the anniversary agenda, which is being held for the first time every year, is the distribution of Story Books and Science for children in the border areas of Indonesia, to be precise in the Leti Islands. "The Book Donation Agenda is a form of STIE Perbanas Surabaya concern for the nation's children who live in border areas so that we donate these books later to be useful for educating the nation's children," he added.

One of the 2016 S1 accounting students, Cindy A. Hartono, expressed his pride and love for STIE Perbanas Surabaya. "This is extraordinary, students, especially new students, took part in the Anniversary event by collecting soft skill lanterns. I hope that when I graduate, in addition to being equipped with academic abilities, soft skills are not overlooked because these abilities are very useful in the world of work, "he explained.

The chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Lutfi hopes that this year's Dies Natalis activity can increase the accreditation of the institution to A. Currently, STIE Perbanas Surabaya is one of the high schools that have the opportunity to gain accreditation for institution A, last October the assessor team conducted an assessment. "We hope that the aspiration to achieve institutional accreditation with an A grade can be realized in the near future," he hoped.
