UHW Perbanas Equips Students with Leadership Skills in the AI Era

Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas demonstrated its commitment to supporting the capacity development of the younger generation through a Workshop Capacity Building program entitled Next Gen Leaders: Integrating Communication, Creativity, and Leadership in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Conducted online via Zoom Meeting, the activity was attended by students and teachers from Homeschooling Pena on Tuesday (12/5).
The workshop served as a platform for participants to understand the importance of developing leadership skills and future competencies amid the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of UHW Perbanas as well as the workshop speaker, Tatik Suryani, explained that the development of AI technology has brought significant changes to competency requirements in the future workplace and social life.
According to her, young people need to prepare themselves with various core skills predicted to become essential competencies by 2030. Based on data presented by the World Economic Forum, several important skills that need to be mastered include understanding AI and big data, technology literacy, creative thinking, as well as resilience, flexibility, and agility in responding to change.In addition, participants were introduced to the importance of analytical thinking, leadership and social influence, motivation and self-awareness, and system thinking as provisions for facing challenges in the digital era. Furthermore, time management, empathy, and active listening were also emphasized as essential aspects in shaping the character of future leaders.
Through this activity, UHW Perbanas hopes that students will become better prepared to face digital transformation while also developing into adaptive, creative future leaders with strong communication skills in the AI era. (eko/pr)
