The prestigious competition which is held regularly every year in the field of Accounting is again held by STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Located at Campus 2, Jalan Wonorejo Utara 16 Rungkut, Surabaya, this competition was attended by at least 63 teams of Vocational High School (SMK) students from all over East Java. The event, which is named Perbanas MYOB Accounting Competition 2016, is intended to train students' dexterity in processing accounting data based on MYOB software. The competition is free of charge alias free registration is held on Saturday, August 6, 2016.

Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin., Conveyed his support to competing students to always be enthusiastic and solve challenges with honesty to get the best possible results. "Let us take advantage of this MYOB competition for learning media, especially in the field of Accounting which is based on the use of software," he said when giving a speech and opening the competition.

After the opening, the participants were divided into 3 groups and directed to the laboratory rooms of STIE Perbanas Campus 2 to work on the questions given by the competition organizers. Meanwhile, the supervisors were given an English workshop by the committee while waiting for the students to compete.

In addition to the MYOB software operation competition, STIE Perbanas Surabaya also held a Rank 1 competition where participants were given accounting questions in the form of multiple choices. then, the student who gets the highest score is entitled to get the Rank 1 predicate from STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Meanwhile, participants who get the top 20 points are entitled to a voucher for free admission to tertiary education at STIE Perbanas Surabaya.

The contestants and teachers were given musical entertainment by the student activity unit (UKM) Band STIE Perbanas Surabaya during recess. The atmosphere became more familiar and relaxed when the participants, teachers, and committee played games and ice breaking.

Arriving at the end of the event, the champions of Perbanas MYOB Acoounting Competition 2016 have received a reward from STIE Perbanas Surabaya. The first winner was SMKN 1 Pogalan Trenggalek, the second winner was SMKN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung, the third winner was SMK Dharma 2 Sidoarjo. Meanwhile, the 1st place winner was SMKN 1 Malang. The atmosphere looked emotional and happy when the judges gave prizes to the winners.
