Given the importance of journalism in the world of information, Public Relations of STIE Perbanas Surabaya in collaboration with FIDUCIA held journalism, photography, and website training activities. Dozens of students attended the event, they came from representatives of several Student Activity Units (UKM). This training lasted for two days, to be precise 23-24 April 2016.

The Head of Public Relations of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Arief Suharmadi, SE., Said that this training was held with the aim of training and improving students' writing skills, especially news writing. Later, the news written by students will be published through the media magazines and campus websites. "We hope that these students will be more creative in composing words to become news. Because to become a great leader like Ir. Soekarno, you need to hone your soft skills, especially in the world of writing, ”he explained when giving a speech and opening the event.

On the first day, journalism and photography training were given to students by a speaker. Located in Room B 301-302, the presenters who were presented came from professional circles who had been in the world of daily media in the city of Surabaya, namely Lainin Nadziroh, S.Sos., MIKom., (Editor) and Abdulah Munir (Journalistic Photographer) . Some of the material for writing news was delivered by Lainin, including: news elements, news content, types of news, and so on. Meanwhile, Munir provided journalistic photography techniques that had values ​​and character and looked like life.

On the second day, website training was given to all STIE Perbanas Surabaya organizations. On that occasion, the Assistant Chairperson (Puket III) for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Sasongko Budisusetyo, M.Sc., CA., CPA., CPMA, delivered material about the website directly. Located in Room C301, this website training is intended so that all ormawasites play an active role in the news and information on the organization's activity agenda can be published through the official website of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.

According to Dr. Sasongko Budisusetyo, M.Sc., CA., CPA., CPMA, in the not too distant future, STIE Perbanas will launch a new website with fresher and more interesting content. Therefore, journalism, photography, and website training are provided to students so that they have the provisions and competencies to contribute to the launch of the new STIE Perbanas Surabaya website.
