Training on Evaluation of Quality Standards for Facilities to Improve Quality of Higher Education
To become a superior and competitive university, of course, an Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) is needed. The relevant institutions have also set criteria, such as the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). In order to maintain and improve the quality of higher education in a sustainable manner which is carried out internally, STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a Quality Standard Evaluation Training. Betempat in the seminar room of Campus 1 STIE Perbanas Surabaya, the event was attended by all leaders of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Heads of study programs along with their secretaries, and strategic units. The strategic units include: PUsat for Research and Community Service and the Center for Quality Assurance. On this occasion, the presenters who were presented to deliver material related to SPMI were the Head of the Internal Audit Office of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Dr. Wonny Ahmad Ridwan, SE., MM.
The training, which was held for two days, to be precise July 14-15 2016, aims to make improvements to the existing quality standards. This is supported by the existence of the latest provisions from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education so that the quality standards set later will be better. In this quality standard evaluation training, a follow-up will be held, such as at the end of the training getting a quality standard graft. The mechanism is that the Quality Assurance Center proposes to the leadership of STIE Perbanas Surabaya to form a quality standard improvement team so that from the training that has been carried out, good institutional quality standards can be made.
Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin., In his speech said that the quality standards in higher education always undergo the latest changes as determined by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristerkdikti). "Finally, the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 2 of 2016 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number 26 of 2015 concerning Registration of Educators in Higher Education has been stipulated. Of course, we must be ready to face changes because basically changes are intended to improve the quality of higher education quality standards, "he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Quality Assurance Center, Dra. Gunasti Hudiwinarsih, M.Sc., Ak., Hopes that the quality standard evaluation training that has been made, can be completed in early August so that this quality standard can be used as an internal audit benchmark for training to be held at the end of August.
