MM UHW Perbanas Students Conduct International Community Service
MM UHW Perbanas students recently undertook an international community service project in collaboration with the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI). This initiative involved providing feedback on the culinary businesses managed by SMCCI, aligning with coursework related to marketing communication.
The students, representing cohorts 35 and 36, offered constructive feedback after sampling dishes at an Indonesian restaurant in Singapore. Gerry, one of the MM students, appreciated the authentic Indonesian flavors, while Ari noted that dishes like soto, ayam kremes, sup buntut, and various drinks captured the rich seasoning of Indonesian cuisine.
Prof. Dr. Dra. Tatik Suryani, Psi., M.M., explained that these students were applying a co-creation approach in marketing communication, with consumers actively involved in creating new marketing innovations. “Here, MM UHW Perbanas students have the opportunity to collaborate with SMCCI to support the Malay/Muslim business community in Singapore,” she said.
Founded in 2006, SMCCI is a non-profit organization with around 1,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under its guidance, aimed at fostering business development. (pr)
