MM UHW Perbanas Students Visit Singapore Management University
Universitas Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas provides its students with opportunities to build international networks and expand global business reach. One approach to achieving this goal is through overseas study visits, like the one recently undertaken by students in the Master of Management (MM) program at UHW Perbanas.
UHW Perbanas Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Dra. Tatik Suryani, Psi., M.M., highlighted the importance of international insights and experiences for students. “In an era of open information and intense global competition, graduates need to understand international dynamics to identify opportunities,” she said. The students' visit included stops at BWG Circles and Singapore Management University, where they learned about startup development, business incubation, and networking for business growth.
During their visit to Singapore Management University, Prof. Tatik and the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Tay Chin Lim, Manager of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, along with his team and two successful Indonesian startup founders. “This institute educates aspiring entrepreneurs and supports them through business incubation, commercialization, and marketing to grow their ventures,” Prof. Tatik explained. Students also explored various facilities such as greenhouses, business innovation generators, discussion rooms, and co-working spaces.
The group, consisting of MM UHW Perbanas students from cohorts 35 and 36, concluded their visit with a stop at DoubleTree, specifically the Garamika Indonesia Restaurant, owned by an Indonesian entrepreneur participating in the institute’s program. “We hope that UHW Perbanas students will maintain an open-minded approach when considering new ventures in the future, especially after gaining such valuable insights from entrepreneurs in Singapore,” Prof. Tatik added.
