Universitas Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas was the host for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the 2024 Grant Program for the Development of Study Programs to Meet International Quality Standards. Held in Room C401 at the Wonorejo Campus, this event was attended by four grant recipient universities: Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Petra Christian University, and Jember University.

The event also saw the presence of representatives from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, as well as a reviewer from Universitas Brawijaya, Ir. Achmad Wicaksono, M.Eg., Ph.D. They were warmly welcomed by the leadership of UHW Perbanas, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and the Head of the Quality Assurance Center at UHW Perbanas.

The Rector of UHW Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in the university to host the monitoring and evaluation of the grant aimed at fulfilling international quality standards. According to him, this developmental assistance represents a significant effort for universities to enhance their quality to international standards in order to advance education in Indonesia.

"Let us take full advantage of this opportunity so that the goals set by each university can be realized in the future," he stated during the event on Wednesday, September 18.

The event commenced with opening remarks, followed by presentations from each university on their progress reports. The first presentation was from Scheme A, by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The next session, for Scheme B—development assistance directly to study programs—included presentations from Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Petra Christian University, and Jember University.

Meanwhile, Ir. Achmad Wicaksono, M.Eg., Ph.D., noted that competition in higher education is currently quite intense. Universities that have already achieved superior accreditation are encouraged to pursue international accreditation, a goal supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through this program for study program development. “One of the aims is to enhance the competence of universities in the effort to compete globally,” he concluded.
