The Next Leader Expo 2024 was held with great enthusiasm from participants. This job fair, taking place from May 29 to 30, 2024, was hosted at the Balai Pemuda Building in Surabaya. The event featured over a thousand job vacancies and was attended by numerous well-known and international companies, aiming to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Surabaya City Government, through the Department of Industry and Manpower (Disperinaker), Surabaya Next Leader (SNL), and in partnership with Dharmawanita Kota Surabaya and Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas (UHW Perbanas). The expo focused not only on job placement but also offered a variety of supporting activities, including soft skills training, career guidance, a campus exhibition, and an SME exhibition.

The Campus Expo was a key supporting event aimed at students preparing for higher education. Additionally, career consultations and training for job seekers were facilitated by career consultants from Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas through the Perbanas Career Centre (PCC). This initiative provided valuable support to participants, offering insights and preparation for the professional world. Career consultations were crucial for job seekers as they offered guidance in setting clear career goals, crafting effective CVs and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and developing soft skills. Moreover, career consultants helped design efficient job search strategies and provided emotional support to manage stress during the job search process. With this assistance, job seekers were better equipped to seize opportunities and enhance their chances of success in the professional realm.
