The Bachelor's Degree in Informatics at the Faculty of Engineering and Design (FTD) of Universitas Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas recently hosted a Game Design and Development Workshop. The event, held via Zoom on Monday (July 29), attracted dozens of participants interested in the world of gaming.

Notably, the workshop focused on game development using Construct 3, a platform designed for creating 2D games without the need for coding. Construct 3 allows users to build games directly in their browser, eliminating the need for installation. Participants were able to create both simple and complex games through a drag-and-drop interface, making it accessible for anyone to start creating right away.

The workshop featured two expert speakers: Sinarring Azi Laga, S.Kom., M.MT, and Deny Hermansyah, S.Kom., M.Kom., both lecturers in Informatics at UHW Perbanas with extensive experience in game development.

In addition to game development, participants were guided step-by-step through animation and design techniques. The speakers expanded the participants' knowledge by demonstrating how to create visually appealing animations and designs within games. The workshop emphasized the importance of utilizing visual elements and movement to create more dynamic and lively characters and environments, which are key attractions in any game.

Dr. Dra. Lindiawati, M.M., Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation at UHW Perbanas, praised the workshop for being both educational and inspiring. She emphasized the university's commitment to supporting programs that benefit the public, particularly those in the informatics program, which offers a unique perspective on technological advancement. The UHW Perbanas Game Design and Development Workshop aims to empower aspiring game developers to achieve success and broaden the understanding that anyone can become a game creator.
