BERLING, Environmentally Friendly Bell by UHW Perbanas Students
Students of the Diploma 3 Program at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University have successfully transformed household waste into valuable goods. This time, they made a work called BERLING, which is an Environmentally Friendly House Bell.
The uniqueness is that they pack the House Bell with various trinkets that use materials from recycled waste. The waste is in the form of plastic, shampoo bottles, soap, and others.
The UHW Perbanas student team, namely: Dwi Mega Diana, Fannany Ahmad Al Ariiq, Robiah Al Adawiyah, and Nurul Fitriana.
One of the Berling makers, Robiah Al Adawiyah, admitted that this product was made based on competitor analysis. As far as she observed, the bell in circulation was still relatively simple, lacked aesthetics, and did not have other benefits.
"Our BERLING comes with innovations that are friendly to the environment. There are three variants of the product, namely without lights, with lights, and connected to CCTV," she said.
To attract customers, they combine various elements, including handicrafts, recycled waste, and the nel tool itself.
"Customers can also request custom products. For example, add text. Then we decorate according to their creativity or requests," he added.
BERLING products, which have only been promoted and produced for a month, have sold more than 30 items. The price is set from Rp 62,000 to Rp 213,000. Although the promotion is still limited to using Instagram, it turns out to be quite effective and much in demand by consumers. "The sales are already in Surabaya, Gresik, and Sidoarjo," she concluded. (PR)
