SURABAYA, September 20, 2023 - The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas continued to take steps forward on the road to international accreditation by holding a two-day International Inhouse Training which took place on September 19-20, 2023. This meaningful event was held at the Novotel Samator Surabaya Hotel and was attended by Dr. Laurie Yates, a higher education expert representing the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE).

This Inhouse Training is an important part of preparation towards international accreditation which is the dream of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas. The event was attended by University leaders including the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, heads of study programs (Kaprodi), and a team of lecturers who have a central role in designing and implementing quality academic programs.

Over the course of two intense days, Dr. Laurie Yates led various training sessions and discussions. The main focus of this Inhouse Training was to understand the standards and evaluation process set by IACBE. The participants, consisting of University Leaders, Heads of Study Programs, and teams of lecturers, gained an in-depth insight into what is expected of them on the journey towards international accreditation.

Dr. Laurie Yates also provided valuable insights on best practices in business education that will help improve the quality of education provided by the university. She shared her experience and knowledge in meeting high international standards.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Dr. Lutfi, expressed the importance of this event in the journey towards international accreditation. Dr. Lutfi stated, "This Inhouse Training is a valuable opportunity for us to prepare ourselves and ensure that we meet high international quality standards. The participation of Vice Chancellors 1, 2, and 3, Deans of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Heads of Study Programs, as well as teams of lecturers from various study programs also reflects the university's seriousness in ensuring that every aspect of education and academics meets international accreditation standards.

In addition to the short-term benefits in preparation for international accreditation, this Inhouse Training will also have a long-term impact on students of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas.
