Preservation of Indonesian culture is the responsibility of all its people. Including regional dance as an ancestral heritage, it needs to be introduced to the millennial generation. This was shown by a dance group from Jember State University (Unej) while presenting Mangir Belt Dance from Banyuwangi. One of the dancers, Siska Aulia, said that the preparation to perform the dance was only about 3 weeks. "Actually this dance has long been modified to be closer to young people. The difficulty is in its expression that often changes, "Siska explained.
He continued, Mangir Belt Dance is a dance that is magical to attract women. According to the belief in the Mangir area, with the belts disabetkan, the affected women will fall in love or even go crazy. Siska and her four friends hoped to win this performance. "Hopefully young people can know the regional dances that can be developed so that regional dances do not disappear. Of course we also want to be champions, "he hoped.
