Visual Communication Design (DKV) Teacher from Buana Waru Vocational High School Attends Gold Embellishment Workshop at UHW Perbanas
The Visual Communication Design (DKV) study program at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University (UHW Perbanas) held a Gold Embellishment Workshop. Taking place offline in Room B504 at the Wonorejo Campus, this event was attended by teachers from Buana Waru Vocational High School in Sidoarjo on Wednesday, (28/9).
Dr. Emanuel Kristijadi, MM., Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, stated that this workshop is one form of implementing the Higher Education Tri Dharma in the community service sector. The DKV study program at UHW Perbanas is also still open for new students this year. "We also use this opportunity to introduce the DKV study program at UHW Perbanas to the public. In fact, our DKV program also conducts community service activities in Mangrove Rungkut tourism and SME development," he explained.
Continuing, Didik, as he is affectionately called, mentioned that this workshop could serve as a means to interact in developing the study program. He also hoped that the activities would benefit the general public, especially in the school environment. "Hopefully, this will be beneficial as we interact and discuss during the workshop. And we hope that future collaborations will continue for mutual progress in vocational high schools," he said.
Similarly, the head of the DKV department at Buana Waru Vocational High School, Iwan Wahyu Susanto, MM, expressed the same sentiment. He hoped that the activities would not stop here but would continue with further cooperation. He also greatly appreciated the DKV study program at UHW Perbanas for being willing to partner as a place for knowledge exchange. "We are grateful for the opportunity to gain knowledge at UHW Perbanas," Iwan remarked.
The training featured professional illustrators and DKV lecturers from UHW Perbanas, Thomas Hanandry Dewanto, S.T., M.T. Additionally, the Head of the DKV Study Program at UHW Perbanas, Haekal Ridho Afandi, SST., M.Sn., and several other lecturers were also present, including Nanang Setiyoko, S.Pd., M.A., and Miftahul A.
