UHW Perbanas with IAI East Java, Successfully Holds the IX Regional Accounting Conference (KRA) in 2022
Hayam Wuruk University Perbanas cooperates with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) in East Java to hold the IX Regional Accounting Conference (KRA) 2022. With the theme "The Futures Skills for Accountants in the Digital Disruption Era", this activity takes place on Tuesday-Wednesday, 12-13 July 2022. UHW Perbanas Jalan Wonorejo Utara 16 Rungkut Surabaya as the venue for this conference, supported by 42 universities in East Java as co-hosts.
The Chief Executive of KRA IX 2022, Kadek Pranetha Prananjaya, S.E., M.A., said that his party prepared all the needs during the event at the business and technology campus. "Currently we are trusted to hold a regional accounting conference," he explained.
Likewise, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., Chancellor of UHW Perbanas, said that as the host, of course, he will always support this activity. So far, KRA IX's activities are in line with the campus's vision and mission in the development of science and practice, particularly in the field of Accounting. "In addition, this very noble academic tradition must also be maintained and its capacity increased," he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE, M.Si, Ak. CA., CMA., as the Chair of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants in the Educator Accountant Compartment, said that in the era of digital disruption, the accounting profession faces challenges. The reason is, the advancement of information technology, of course, in higher education, it is necessary to equip students with the future skills so that later graduates are able to face the current era.
“We see a lot of new businesses. For certain businesses, it is true that accounting will sink because repeative regular debit-credit accounting can indeed be replaced with the help of Artificial Intelligent machines. But actually, what will never die is the accounting profession itself because it will answer,” said Dian Agustia.
During the conference, a number of speakers who joined included: Dedy Permadi, SIP, MA, PhD (Special Staff and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia) and Febrina Kusumawati, S.Si, MM (Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development of the City of Surabaya). Then, the speakers for the Panel Seminar, among others: Indrawan Nugroho Utomo (Head of Regional IV OJK Supervision); Dr. Faizal Rochmad Djoemandi, M.Sc. (Chief Executive Officer of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero)); and Syaiful Ali, MIS., Ph.D., Ak., CA. (Director of Finance at Gadjah Mada University). (eko/hms)
