Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University (UHW) 2020 students produced 888 Softskills Comics. Everything is documented in 10 books of the Softskills Comic series themed “The Bag of Moral Story”. The reason is that it is easy for students and the general public to understand and implement soft skills with interesting and inspiring stories, and combined with pictures that are adapted to everyday situations.

The Chief Executive of the Perbanas UHW Softskills Program, Nurcholis Setiawan, S.Psi., M.Psi., said that this activity is an annual program to explore student soft skills in addition to hard skills. His party considered that soft skills were no less important to be trained and developed. The reason is, these abilities are useful when entering the world of work.

“The Softskill comic series is presented by the class of 2020. Starting from mentees, mentors, to managing partners, all of them are students. We are also supported by a number of lecturers who provide guidance to mentors so that they are right when delivering soft skills material to mentees," he explained after the activity.

Considering that the condition is still a pandemic, Cholis also conveyed that student creativity continues to emerge in innovating to produce memorable works. “Their spirit (students) remains unanimous to produce proud works. Hopefully we can convey the good impression in understanding soft skills through these works to others. And, what we are doing is also beneficial for all of us,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mentor Coordinator for Super Softskill Mentoring Record 2021, Harjanto Wahyu Santoso hopes that the published soft skills comic books can be useful for readers.

"Hopefully this comic work with the theme of softskills becomes one of the fun softskills learning methods and makes it easier for readers to understand the importance of implementing softskills," Harjanto hoped.

To note, students who show their best work are also given appreciation. The appreciation was in the form of the Best Individual Comic Work, namely: 3rd place was won by Amelinda DNR, 2nd place was awarded to Iyas Zumanilhami, and 1st place went to Kashiva Shinta. (eko/PR)
