Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University also supports and succeeds the Independent Learning Campus program. One of them is by taking part in the Matching Fund Program. The program is a tangible form of support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia to create collaboration and strategic synergy between universities and industry. Later it will be a plus for both parties.

The Chief Executive of the UHW Perbanas 2021 Matching Fund Program, Dr. Luciana Spica Almilia, S.E., M.Sc., said that her party had collaborated with business actors, namely Batik Al-Warits Aromatherapy and Leaf Max Catering. In the 2021 Matching Fund Program, his party cooperates with the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, Trade (DiskopUKMperindag) of Mojokerto City.

“There (Mojokerto), we provide training and assistance to hundreds of participants from various types of businesses. The training was completed last month, November 2021," said Luci.

With the theme "Business Escalation Towards Sociopreneurship-Based Startups and Local Wisdom", Luci wants to encourage UMKM players in Mojokerto City to be more creative in business development. He detailed that there were three groups of incubation participants who were given training materials. The first session consisted of 90 participants. Incubation of cake makers with 5 companions took place on November 13, 2021. The second session on November 14, 2021, participants came from incubation of chips and batik makers as many as 90 people with 4 assistants. The last session, there were 120 incubation participants for herbal medicine, ribbon embroidery and accessories along with 5 companions, ending on November 15, 2021.

“We held it for 3 days in a row. In that training, we provided material on Determining Cost of Goods Sold and Selling Price in Business Incubation managed by the Agency,” he explained.

In addition, his party also involved 12 students of the University of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas in the realization of the program. In detail, 2 students are involved in research activities, 2 students are involved in Business Feasibility Study activities, 4 students are involved in Independent Study activities, and 4 other students are involved in Internship activities.

One of the UHW Perbanas students, Richa admitted that he got many benefits during his activities at the 2021 Matching Fund. “I feel the benefits of participating in this activity, especially when I am a facilitator of training activities. Here, I can apply my knowledge to calculate cost of goods sold and selling price for various types of businesses,” Richa said.
