Mahasiswa STIE Perbanas Surabaya Ikuti Seleksi Student ExchangeThe target of STIE Perbanas Surabaya to achieve international recognition is not just a discourse. Several international cooperation programs have been established. This includes the student exchange program that has been worked on to improve students' insight at the international level. On Friday (8/2), the local International Office campus held a selection of candidates for the Netherlands Summer School Utrecht Scholarship and Student Exchange at the Mountain Province State Polytecnic College Philippines in 2019.

At least 25 students passed the selection cycle, ranging from delivering motivation letters, focus group discussions, and interviews. When the selection process takes place, each selected student must make motivation letter first. Armed with this motivation letter, selected students presented about their personalities, ranging from family background, experience, achievements, and reasons for participating in the scholarship program.

The Summer School Program in the Netherlands has been held every year since 2016. Head of International Office, Dr. Rovila El Maghviroh, Ak., M.Sc., said that this year STIE Perbanas Surabaya added a program for student exchange activities to the destination of the Philippines. Students who joined the student exchange had a membership of 15 people. "The free facilities provided to them include: accommodation, local transportation, living costs up to the tuition fees," he explained.

Meanwhile, the summer school quota program is only given to 2 students. Those who were selected were also given facilities in the form of course fees, accommodation, pocket money, and sponsorships from study programs and cooperation units. "In addition, students can also continue to participate in summer school programs with regular channels," he added.

One of the selection participants, Indra Gunawan Sujono admitted that he was very motivated to join the Scholarship program. He wanted to know more about the culture of applying accounting science in the Netherlands and the Philippines. In fact, Accounting S1 students want to add relationships with friends around the world and plan further studies abroad. "The hope is that we can pass this program because I also want to plan for further study abroad," he hoped.
