International Office Held “INTEREST” Vol. 01, One Step for Students Grab for More International Exposures
Getting information about scholarship opportunities is one of the best advantages of attending an international education webinar. International Office Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas was organizing a webinar series to encourage students to obtain global exposure. This webinar was the first initiated by the International Office for all students to have insight into the continuing study in other countries. The webinar series aims to raise awareness of international education. More specifically, the students will get information about various scholarships and funding opportunities. Also, technically, the student will be informed about the criteria, standard deadlines, and process to apply for the particular scholarship opportunity.
Introduction Session
Presentation from Dr. Abu
Presentation from Ms. Sarah
The speakers, Dr. Abu Amar Fauzi, S.S., M.M. and Ms. Sarah Lutfiyah Nugraha, S.E. enlightened the students with the various opportunities of pursuing higher studies in the different countries and the requirements. The webinar discussed grabbing the opportunity for international exposure and scholarships to study abroad. It gave an overview of the tests, also, the factors that need to be considered in the admission process.
During his presentation, Dr. Abu talked about scholarship politics, how to build the mentality, the Taiwan scholarship, the NTUST scholarship, the application period, and the study program at NTUST. In addition, he shared that the key point to knowing the critical factor when choosing a program is deciding on the type of program we want to go on. Then, the second session was presented by Ms. Sarah. She gave a glimpse of a lot of preparation regarding the Malaysia scholarship. Both speakers kept the students involved in the discussion by sharing their expertise and experience in this field.
This international webinar was organized for internal students who are interested in international exposure and also the scholarship awardees. Although held at the end of this year, many students actively discussed and delivered questions to the speakers. Hopefully, this event could inspire students to join the international activity and provide insights for students about what should be prepared for international moves. (AA&LYM)
