The Diploma 3 Program at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas organized a national workshop in the field of accounting.
On this occasion, they collaborated with the Center for Accounting Studies (PKA) at UHW Perbanas to share knowledge through the Practical and Easy Mosque Accounting Workshop Based on ISAK 35. The invited speakers were Dr. Kautsar Riza Salman, SE.,MSA., Ak. BKP. SAS. CA. and Dr. Drs. Agus Samekto, Ak. M.Si., CA. Participants included representatives from various campuses and mosque administrators from different regions in Indonesia, ranging from Aceh, West Java, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara, and others.
The Chairman of the East Java Public Accounting Lecturers Forum, Dr. Drs. Ec. Agus Samekto, M.Si., began the material with characteristics of non-profit entities. Non-profit organizations are divided into two categories based on their nature, private and public. "Today, we will discuss non-profit organizations that are public in nature," he started during the workshop on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Furthermore, in the public sector, accountability, stakeholders, and society need information about the use of funds, management, and purposes. They also feel it is important to understand mosque entities. "Information about the mosque, its processes, whatever its purpose," explained Agus Samekto.
Then, public sector organizations have different goals. Likewise, mosques have differences in their goals. This is because the challenges faced in the environment and surrounding communities are different, so it is natural for their goals to differ.
"The reports will be unique and have local differences. To compile information, standards are needed. So, when the community starts to develop, they have the right to know about the mosque. Moreover, now with IT (Information Technology), certain mosques may already be able to link their activities so they can be monitored with a cellphone," explained the Chairman of the Center for Accounting Studies (PKA) at UHW Perbanas.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UHW Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., appreciated all accounting lecturers at his institution who actively share knowledge and information with the community. He also hoped that the workshop would be beneficial for mosque administrators, academics, and others. "May this activity bring blessings to all of us. Blessings in the sense of bringing goodness to us and bringing us closer to the Almighty God," he concluded.
It is worth noting that the speakers in this workshop presented various materials, including: Characteristics of Non-Profit Entities, Accounting for Non-Profit Entities: ISAK 35, Mosque Accounting Based on ISAK 35, Mosque Account Chart and Financial Statements, and Mosque Accounting Information Systems
