Perbanas Surabaya Discusses the Preparation of the Roadmap for Research and Community Service for the Year 2021-2026
Thursday, March 18, 2021 through Zoom online Perbanas Surabaya held a meeting to discuss the preparation of a research and community service roadmap for 2021. This event started at 19.00 WIB, the event was opened by Mr. Dr. Drs. Soni Harsono, M.Si as Deputy Chair of the Cooperation, Research and Community Service Division of Perbanas Surabaya. Followed by Mr. Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si gave a speech as well as gave directions on the current conditions of research and community service in Perbanas Surabaya.
In his speech, he explained that the purpose of the activities on that day was to straighten the research roadmap in each study program which would later be included in the University Research RENSTRA. This discussion is considered quite important because Perbanas Surabaya now has 3 new study programs from the engineering faculty. Which this will affect the direction of the research as a whole. From this meeting, it is expected to be able to get input from lecturers to make it easier for later lecturers if they want to propose research and community service.
Mr. Dr. Drs. Soni Harsono, M.Si explained the roadmap for Perbanas superior research in 2016-2020. The research roadmap shows the relationship between research activities that have been, are being and will be carried out by a researcher. The flagship research theme in the 2016-2020 Perbanas RENSTRA is "Development of Science and Technology Based on Local Potentials to Create Competitiveness of Financial and Banking Institutions in 2020".
Furthermore, he explained the theme of the proposed 2021-2026 RENSTRA, namely "Development of Science and Technology for Increasing Business / Banking Competitiveness and Community Welfare in the Era of 4.0". The focus of the theme is Perbanas Surabaya flagship research activities with 2 excellent research fields namely Information & Communication Technology and Social Humanities-Arts-Culture-Education. This new theme focuses on the development of research in 4 excellent research fields, namely the field of excellence in business and banking, the field of accounting and public interest, the field of white collar crime prevention and the field of technology & information.
To strengthen the arguments, each head of the study program explained the research roadmap in their respective study programs. The research roadmap in each Study Program must be able to be covered in the university research roadmap. At the end of the meeting there was a discussion and it was agreed to hold a follow-up meeting related to the university research roadmap. Later on, there will be speakers from LLDIKTI so that the lecturers and the head of the study program will have the knowledge to prepare a research and community service roadmap. (yhcp / hms)
