The wait was long enough to finally produce satisfying results. The Master of Management Study Program (prodi) of STIE Perbanas Surabaya won Superior Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This achievement put the Perbanas Surabaya Management Master's Degree as the first to achieve Excellence accreditation in the East Java region.

Based on the Decree of BAN-PT Number 1078 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / II / 2021, the superior accreditation rating was achieved with a score of 365. The decision is valid from 24 February 2021 to 24 February 2026. The Head of the Master of Management Study Program, Prof. . Dr. Tatik Suryani, Psi., M.M., said that the new 4.0 Study Program Accreditation System (APS) has 9 criteria or assessment standards. This is different from the previous one which only had 7 assessment standards. So, the Master of Management Study Program at STIE Perbanas Surabaya has to adjust to the new one.

"At first we prepared 7 criteria, but we tried to immediately adjust it to the applicable provisions, namely 9 criteria. This is the first time because there are no examples of what the 9 criteria are needed, ”he explained at a press conference on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

According to him, the accreditation achieved requires a long journey. At that time, STIE Perbanas Surabaya did not have the chance to be visited, including a number of other universities that had to adjust their data by adding another 1 year of data. "Therefore, we have to update the latest data. Starting in 2018, 2019 we entered data then on February 20, 2020 we entered forms and a year later we were visited. "Because at this time it was still in a pandemic period, so the vision process was carried out online by 2 assessors," he explained.

It should be noted, the Master of Management Study Program at STIE Perbanas Surabaya has a number of areas of specialization. The areas of specialization include: Marketing Management, Banking and Financial Management (Sharia and Conventional), Human Resource Management.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., added that the acquisition of Excellent accreditation is the motivation for other study programs which have also been dominated by A accreditation. His party also encourages all study programs at STIE Perbanas Surabaya to start increasing to be superior.
