Comply with the Covid-19 Prokes, the Graduation Ceremony of STIE Perbanas Surabaya was Held Outdoor
Following the routine of higher education, STIE Perbanas Surabaya held an online Graduation. The media used is also through Zoom and Youtube Live Perbanas. Then, the venue for the event chose an open space, to be precise on the main campus yard of STIE Perbanas Surabaya Jalan Wonorejo Utara 16 Rungkut Surabaya. The reason for choosing the outdoor concept on the new campus was to strictly maintain the Covid 19 health protocol, apart from wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.
Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., said this graduation was special because of the pandemic and the location for the new campus. "From now on, our main campus is in Wonorejo. The implementation is outdoor, that might be the difference in terms of the program, "he explained after graduation, Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Talking about the quality of current graduates, Yudi Sutarso considered that it was not much different even though it had entered the Covid-19 pandemic. The average graduation is now in the last semester in 2020 yesterday. "So, this pandemic only affects their final semester," he explained.
His party also has a parameter of the quality of graduates from absorption into the world of work. According to the last survey, the absorption of STIE Perbanas Surabaya graduates into the world of work was 75% in less than 6 months. "Most Perbanas graduates are in private sector because it is indeed a business campus," he added.
At the moment of graduation, his party also hopes that STIE Perbanas Surabaya will soon be transformed into a university. "Yesterday, we have gone through the final stage, namely field visitation," he hoped.
It is known, STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a Graduation Ceremony for Master of Management Program, Bachelor Program and Diploma 3 Program totaling 277 graduates. In details, 9 graduates of Master of Management Study Program (prodi), 98 graduates of Accounting degrees, 82 graduates of Management degrees, 6 graduates of Sharia Economics, 56 graduates of Diploma 3 of Banking and finance, and 26 graduates of Diploma 3 of Accounting.
