The hope of STIE Perbanas Surabaya to turn into a university is entering its final round. This is because the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions invited STIE Perbanas Surabaya to participate in Field Assessment activities. The assessment team from the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions conducted a field assessment of STIE Perbanas Surabaya in the context of changing its shape from STIE Perbanas Surabaya to Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University Surabaya. The assessment team divided this field assessment activity into 2 forms of activity, namely offline meetings and online meetings. These two activities were carried out simultaneously on the same day and time on Wednesday, February 03, 2021 yesterday.

The Field Assessment Process for offline activities was carried out at ASTON Imperial Bekasi Hotel & Conference Center. The assessment team from STIE Perbanas who was present at ASTON Imperial Bekasi Hotel & Conference Center was the Chairperson of STIE Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., and the Deputy Head of Cooperation, Research and Community Services, Dr. Drs. Soni Harsono, M.Si. Also accompanying 3 people from the Daily Executive Board (BPH) of the East Java National Public Private Bank Association Education Foundation.

The Field Assessment Process is divided into 3 evaluation aspects, namely legal aspects, financial aspects and general aspects. Evaluation of the Legal and Financial aspects was carried out offline at ASTON Imperial Bekasi Hotel & Conference Center while adhering to the Covid-19 protocol. Meanwhile, the general aspect is done online through Zoom media. In her speech, Mrs. Desmelita said that actually evaluations like this were carried out by visiting higher education institutions in person, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic still enveloping the city of Surabaya, the evaluation program was directed to Bekasi and partly done online.

The general aspect evaluation process was led directly by Mrs. Liliana Sugiharto, she is one of the lecturers from Unika Atma Jaya Jakarta who was appointed to be the evaluation team. Also attending the Zoom media was Mr. Widyo Winarso from LLDIKTI Region VII. In the evaluation the field assessment team asked about the suitability of the files, the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, lecturers and the readiness of the curriculum for the opening of a new study program.

The field assessment process ran orderly and smoothly. Mr. Emanuel Kristijadi, as the person in charge in the evaluation process of general aspects, explained that his party representing STIE Perbanas Surabaya expressed his gratitude for the input from the assessors and hoped that the SK to change the form to a university and the opening of this new study program would soon be published, so that his party and the campus ranks could immediately prepare. to open registration for new students.

This Papuan Assessment Activity in the framework of Stie Perbanas Surabaya proposes a change in shape to the University of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas and proposes to open a new study program. Previously, STIE Perbanas Surabaya already has 6 study programs including Master of Management, Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Sharia Economics, Diploma 3 of Accounting, and Diploma 3 of Banking and Finance. Furthermore, 3 study programs that have been proposed and ready to be opened in the engineering faculty are Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems (SI), and Visual Communication Design (DKV).
