High school / vocational / MA students' interest in competing inspired a group of Diploma 3 students in Business and Banking Campus. Those who are members of the Diploma 3 Student Association (HMD) of STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a competition entitled Diploma Perbanas Competition (DPC) on Saturday (19/1).

Located at Campus 2 Jl. Wonorejo Utara 16 Rungkut, Surabaya, this competition is divided into two types, namely the MYOB Competition (Accounting software) and the Banking Operation Competition (BOC). At least 80 students of the MYOB competition and 39 students of the BOC competition from various schools in East Java seemed enthusiastic about participating in the competition from morning to evening.

Secretary of the Diploma 3 Program, Rohmad Fuad Armansyah, S.E., M.Sc., said this event is routinely held every year. In addition to introducing the world of campus, this competition was also used to attract and explore student competencies, especially in the fields of Accounting and Banking. "This competition is a forum for STIE Perbanas Surabaya and Diploma student associations to share experiences as well as introduce the campus. In fact, it is also used as a scientific sharing media for high school / vocational / MA students, "he explained.

After the opening, the participants went straight to the prepared race location. For the MYOB Accounting competition, competition participants must complete questions related to case studies and the application of Accounting using MYOB software. Likewise, the participants in the BOC competition, they worked on banking problems. The difference is, BOC competition participants must pass the Case Problem of Banking and Role Play and Grooming rounds to win.

Until the final round of the competition, all participants were waiting for the announcement of the winners, both MYOB Accounting and Banking Operations categories. For the winners of the MYOB Accounting Competition, 1st place was won by SMK Negeri Mojoagung Jombang, 2nd place was won by SMK Negeri Pogalan, and 3rd place was won by SMK Negeri 1 Gresik. Meanwhile, in the Banking Operation Competition, 1st place was won by SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi Malang, 2nd place was received by SMK Negeri 1 Jombang, and 3rd place was won by SMK Negeri 1 Bojonegoro.

Khoirun Nisak, a student of SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi Malang who won 1st place in the Banking Operation Competition, admitted that this achievement was like a miracle. He also got his own impression and there were interesting things during the competition process.

“My preparation was very short thanks to the information from the teacher via WhatsApp. Then, I immediately got down and studied the night before the race. And, Alhamdulillah I can do all and all of that thanks to the prayers of parents, teachers, and other friends, "he impressed.

In addition to the competition activities, all accompanying teachers who were present were given facilities to attend seminars on Visualization of Financial Statements in the form of Ms. Excel. All financial data can be processed with the program until finally it can be displayed in the form of a dashboard. It should be noted, all of these activities are part of a series of activities for the 49th Anniversary of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.
