STIE Perbanas Surabaya students are always encouraged to develop product innovation and business ideas. This was realized in the 2020 Perbanas Entrepreneur Awards (PEA) event. This activity was conceptualized and realized by a group of students who are members of the Entrepreneur Club of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Right on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Campus Hall 1, Jl Nginden Semolo 34-36 Surabaya, the 10 best finalist teams showed off their products and businesses to visitors. They were even given the opportunity to reach the jury.

Vidha Mourine, as Manager of the Entrepreneur Club of STIE Perbanas Surabaya said, this activity aims to accommodate students in developing business ideas. Each team consists of 3 students. Initially, there were dozens of business idea proposals submitted by students. After conducting the selection stage, the top 30 best proposals were selected. "Of the top 30, the best 10 were taken to appear at the top of the Perbanas Entrepreneur Awards," said Mourine.

The current competition concept is different from the previous year. According to Mourine, currently students from outside STIE Perbanas Surabaya are also allowed to participate in activities. "During a visit with student associations at ITS, we had an MoU. So right now there are also participants from there, "he added.

One of the participants with the Achadent Toothpaste product, Aghata Putri Laam Alif, admitted that the product was made by considering the condition that Indonesia is a country with 88.8% of the population having dental problems. That made him and his two friends Ya'kub Hamdani and Fajar Setya Pradhani challenged to make products that were useful for the general public. "Finally, we propose a three in one toothpaste product. The main ingredients are rickshaw mucus, betel leaves and green apples, ”said Aghata.

Other products on display at the event included: Face Masks, Bakul Store Applications, Lip and Hip beauty products, Virgin Ayumurasaki, Smooth Vegetable and Fruit, USEIT, Massive, and so on. Later they will compete for championships, namely 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place winner, Best Stand, and Best Poster.(eko/hms)
