The Sharia Economics Undergraduate Study Program (Prodi) cooperates with the Islamic Economics Undergraduate Student Association (Hima Eksyar) to hold a National Seminar entitled "Revolution of Sharia Startup Business and the Halal Industry in the Era 4.0". Taking place at the Auditorium Hall A Campus 1, on Thursday, February 13, 2020, this event was attended by hundreds of participants from various backgrounds, including: lecturers, economics teachers, students, students, East Java UMKM players to the general public.

The Chief Executive, Kemal Imaduddin said that this national seminar was a series of events for the Sharia Economy Festival 2020. He said the reason for this theme was appointed as a concrete step in addressing the potential development of the sharia economy in Indonesia.

Kemal said, two points were to be achieved in the event, namely how to start a startup business and the Indonesian halal industry. According to him, the younger generation must be able to do digital business because it has become a demand in the industrial era 4.0. Then, he also wants halal not only to become law in Islam. "Personally, halal in business has become a culture so that the halal culture will keep away from immoral activities," he explained.

It should be noted, based on the 2019 Global Islamic Finance Report, Indonesia won first place in developing the Islamic economy. This condition succeeded in replacing Malaysia's position as a pioneer country in the sharia economy. For this reason, the speakers presented were also the Chairman of the Indonesian Halal Chef (Bank Indonesia Halal UMKM Curator Team & Halal Consultants), R. Muhammad Suherman and CEO of Zeniora Education Technology, Moch. Siswan Afandi.

In his presentation, Moch. Siswan Afandi, explained that digital business or startups are basically the same but the business models are different and varied. He also provides tips for students and students who want to start a startup business. The first thing to do is to form according to each competency. "The mistake is that the selected team usually has the same competence. So, when starting a business it costs more to huyer other people. This can increase expenditure, "said Afandi.

Other things that must be fulfilled by this startup actor include: commitment, professionalism of each team member, design thinking, funding, and others.

Then, R. Muhammad Suherman added that the government's support for the halal industry was extraordinary. In fact, according to him, the opportunities are also very extraordinary. "The halal industry in Indonesia is actually broad in scope. Not only food, drinks, fashion, and others. Actually, it is very broad regarding all aspects of life style support, "he added after delivering the material.

Before ending the interview, Chef Herman emphasized that the demand for the halal market is extraordinary considering that the majority of the population in Indonesia is Muslim.
