Saturday morning, (12/1), the atmosphere of campus 1 STIE Perbanas Surabaya was different from usual. Thousands of students, lecturers, and employees along with their families are following a healthy walk. The route starts from campus 1 along the Nginden Semolo road. This event was held in the framework of the opening of a series of activities for the 49th Anniversary of the Year. This was marked by cutting the jasmine ribbon and launching the 49th Anniversary logo, led by the Head of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., accompanied by Deputy Head of Finance, Operations and Human Resources, Dra. Gunasti Hudiwinarsih, Ak., M.Si., Epi Sepdiatmoko, and Immanuel Candra Irawan.

On this occasion, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., said that in January 2019, STIE Perbanas Surabaya will turn 49 years old. This means that at an age that is considered mature, he invites the entire academic community to always be grateful. The reason is, the best business and banking campus in Indonesia is still alive and well. In fact, in 2018, STIE Perbanas Surabaya was ranked 70 throughout Indonesia, both public and private campuses. "For the category of high schools in the fields of business and banking, STIE Perbanas Surabaya was ranked first," he explained.

In addition, he emphasized that STIE Perbanas Surabaya has started to internationalize the campus. Evidently, this year local students were given the opportunity to Student Exchange to the Philippines and Summer School Program to Utrecht University in the Netherlands. “At the age of 49, this is not just asking what was achieved, but rather about what was given to others. "Hopefully, in the future STIE Perbanas Surabaya will pay more attention and provide more benefits to the community, including students," he hoped.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of the Anniversary, Immanuel Candra Irawan, explained that today's activity was only for the opening. For the next 2 months or so, this year's Anniversary will organize various activities that lead to the transformation of digital-based education. The activities that will be carried out include: Contest for Lecturers, Employees, and Students; SMA / MA / SMK Student Competition; Perbanas Competition Diploma; Blood donors; National Seminar; Social service; Online Donation for disaster victims, Gathering, and so on.

"In accordance with the theme, we want all of these anniversary activities to be digital based. Including donation activities, we collaborate with one of the most trusted platforms to donate social funds to disaster victims, ”explained Candra.

It should be noted, the activity with the theme "Transformation Towards a Digital Based STIE Perbanas Surabaya" is getting more festive with the Bazaar and Door Prize Distribution.
