Prospective Graduates of Perbanas Accounting Provide USKAD Certification
Currently, many universities in Indonesia have produced graduates, especially those in the field of accounting. Of course, this increases cross-tertiary competition in increasing the absorption of graduates in the world of work.
Responding to these conditions, STIE Perbanas Surabaya through the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program (Prodi) equips its graduates with a certification program. On Monday-Tuesday, August 5-6 2019, as many as 135 students took the Basic Accounting Certification Exam (USKAD). The USKAD program is routinely held every year.
Chairman of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Dr. Nanang Shonhadji, S.E., M.Sc., said that in organizing USKAD, his party collaborated with the Central Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) in Jakarta. Later, the IAI will issue a graduation certificate from the results of the exam that was attended by STIE Perbanas Surabaya students.
"USKAD certification is a certification that must be owned by undergraduate accounting students before taking their thesis. From the STIE Perbanas Surabaya policy, if the USKAD certification exam does not pass this time, then you can repeat following USKAD the following year, "he explained.
Apart from USKAD, the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program has several other certification programs that can be followed by every student. According to him, several professional certification programs are being held, including: Qualified Internal Audit (QIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certification, and SAP Certification.
Meanwhile, one of the exam participants, Savira Yunita Sari, admitted that before the exam he took the try out. According to Savira, this activity really helped her in doing USKAD, helped her understand in working on the problems as much as 60% -70%. After taking the USKAD exam, Savira hopes to pass around 95% of the basic accounting certification exam. "With competency certification that is recognized nationally, later it can be used to increase their competitiveness when they graduate," he hoped. (del / public relations)
