Items that are considered junk are indeed difficult to use for most people. However, this does not apply to the three students from STIE Perbanas Surabaya. The three students, namely Nur Maghfirotul Auliyah, M. Yusril Izza, and Rica Kurnia Ramadani. They innovated by utilizing egg shells to become beauty products in the form of loose powder.

One of the initiators of innovation, Nur Maghfirotul Auliyah, revealed that this idea originated from scattered eggshell waste and turned into waste. Seeing this condition, Auliyah and her friends tried to test the eggshell laboratory to find out the contents. Finally, it was found that the calcium carbonate (CaCO3) content of 94.47% and collagen was 0.012%. Both are suitable for beauty products.

To make a product called "Ray Beauty" with the composition of Egg Shell, Rice Flour, and Turmeric Powder. In the process, egg shells are cleaned of dirt until they are clean using water and boiled in boiling water. Furthermore, the process is soaked with lime juice to remove the fishy smell from the egg shells. "The egg shell is dried in the sun and blended until smooth and becomes a powder," he explained.

Then, the final process is mixed with rice flour and turmeric powder as a natural dye. The dose of each package is made with 25 grams and is sold at a price of IDR 20,000. Auliyah claims that the Egg Skin Powder product is very beneficial, such as: brightening facial skin, reducing black spots, and making the face look smoother; prevent premature aging, and others.

Widyaningtyas Prameswara Putri, a Bachelor of Accounting student who uses Ray Beauty powder, admitted that the powder she uses is comfortable. "The face feels soft and looks brighter than before," he impresses. (public relations)
