Projected Accounting Graduates to Manage the Village Fund Program
On Saturday, March 11 2017, the Accounting Study Program at STIE Perbanas Surabaya closed the series of activities for the 2nd Perbanas Accounting Festival 2016-2017 with a National Seminar. With the theme "Accountant Profession: Response To Dynamic Globalization Changes", this seminar was attended by 301 participants, ranging from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students; Accounting lecturers, banking practitioners, accounting professionals, both from Java and outside Java.
The Chief Executive of the 2nd Perbanas Accounting Festival, Dr. Rovila El Maghviroh, M.Sc., said the series of events held every two years is in order to promote the role of Accounting in the public domain. "In the opening of this activity, we conducted community service in the form of SAP Lab training, SAK ETAP training, banking accounting laboratories for economics teachers and continued with Quality Assurance Training for SMA / SMK, MA and equivalent principals in East Java. Then, for STIE Perbanas Surabaya students we held a Research Day and Fun Games. The highlight of the event was the National Seminar, "he explained.
He continued, the seminar material given was that the accounting graduate profession has a very important role in the public sphere. Currently, the government program regarding village funds has been rolled out so that it requires careful and precise financial management. "So, accounting graduates can implement their knowledge for the government program. In the future, difficulties in making village financial report analysis will be helped by the existence of applied accounting knowledge, "he added.
Speakers who were presented also came from professionals in government and accounting experts. Regent of Siak, Riau, Drs. H. Syamsuar, M.Sc., explained material that is closely related to strategic good governance and strategic audit for government. He was asked as a speaker at this seminar because the Siak Regency Government won the Wanua Nugraha Award from the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia for regional heads who succeeded in fostering villages.
On that occasion, his party was interested in collaborating with STIE Perbanas Surabaya regarding the Putra Daerah Scholarship program delivered by Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin. This is because the Siak Regency Government is currently preparing village apparatus Human Resources to manage the village fund program finances. "We will discuss it first in the regions related to this cooperation. It is possible that later we could send prospective students to study at STIE Perbanas Surabaya, "said Drs. H.
