Higher education graduates who are skilled, smart, have entrepreneurial spirit, and are ready to open jobs are the targets desired by the government. Through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti), the government has launched entrepreneurship education programs for students before graduating to undergo work-learning activities for a certain period of time in an industry. Over the last two decades, the program, which is called the Co-op Program (Cooperative Academic Education Program), has been implemented in collaboration with the industrial and business world.

Meanwhile, considering the importance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the national economy, prospective college graduates are invited to participate and participate in advancing the Indonesian economy. In 2016, STIE Perbanas Surabaya was entrusted with receiving a Co-op Program Research Grant from the government. The student supervisor of STIE Perbanas Surabaya who received the Co-op Grant, Chitra Laksmi Rithmaya, SE., MM., Said that this opportunity was an extraordinary trust by the government to STIE Perbanas Surabaya so that realizing this program needed seriousness and extraordinary responsibility to target it. set can be achieved.

Before running the research grant for the Co-op Program, there were at least eight students who became a team from STIE Perbanas Surabaya. They get provisioning and guidance before going directly to the field to meet with MSME entrepreneurs and appointed facilitators. On Friday-Saturday, 9-10 September 2016, they participated in the Preparation and Release of 2016 Co-op Grant Participants. Located in Room D102 and D207, grant participants received a number of briefings from the presenters, including: Dr. Soni Harsono, SE., M.Si., Dr. Nanang Shonhadji, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., and Lailla Shaleh, S.Psi., MT.

It is hoped that through this provision the participants of the 2016 STIE Perbanas Surabaya Co-op Grant will have the knowledge so that they will know the strategy to be applied in realizing the program. In other words, the students of STIE Perbanas Surabaya will be more prepared and responsible for the trust given by the government through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.
