It was an immeasurable joy for the big family of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas. Former Mayor of Surabaya for the 2010–2020 period, Tri Rismaharini, attended the Wonorejo Campus to share her experiences and insights before hundreds of talk show participants.
On this occasion, Tri Rismaharini motivated and encouraged UHW Perbanas students to remain confident in achieving accomplishments and pursuing their dreams, both nationally and internationally. “To all students of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Surabaya, you can achieve success anywhere. Nothing is impossible as long as you are willing to strive for it. You are not limited only to Indonesia; it is merely a territory. You can achieve accomplishments even beyond Indonesia,” said Risma after delivering her presentation.
She also encouraged students to continue bringing honor to their university and the nation through outstanding works and positive achievements. “Carry the flags of your university’s glory. Make yourselves a source of pride not only for yourselves, but also for your parents, your beloved alma mater, and for the entire nation of Indonesia,” continued the woman affectionately known as “Emake Arek Suroboyo.”
According to Risma, everyone has the same opportunity to succeed if they possess the willingness and determination to keep fighting. “Because opportunities exist for everyone, as God is fair,” she concluded.
It is worth noting that Tri Rismaharini contributed to the Mental Health Talk Show alongside actress Ayu Azhari from the film Suamiku Lukaku. In addition, Arumi Bachsin, wife of the Vice Governor of East Java, was also present to express support and encourage empathy and social awareness toward issues occurring within society.
This event became a space for reflection as well as motivation for students to maintain mental health, build optimism, and continue developing their potential amid today’s challenges. (eko/pr)
