Sharing Blessings with Orphans and Dhuafa
In the month of Ramadan in 1437 H, STIE Perbanas Surabaya again held Iftar with Orphans and Dhuafa Children, on Friday (24/6/2016). The event was also intended as a thanksgiving for all the favors and gifts given by Allah SWT. to the number one high school as Kopertis 7, East Java. Located at the Auditorium Building A Campus 1, this joint break was attended by 125 orphans and 119 Dhuafa children. Before the event started, a number of lecturers and staff prayed together and chanted the Qur'an at 13.00 WIB.
Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin., In his speech said that through this activity we would like to express our gratitude for all the blessings of Allah SWT. Therefore, the big family of STIE Perbanas Surabaya has various concerns by providing assistance to orphans and Dhuafa children and participating in breaking fast together.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Chairperson (Puket II) for Finance and General Administration, Meliza Silvi, SE., M.Sc., provided compensation to representatives of the Orphans and Dhuafa. Then, foundations or orphanage institutions that attended, among others: Yayasan Citra Pelajar Mandiri (Bronggalan Sawah), Yayasan Nurani Mandiri Indonesia (Wonorejo III / 50, Tegalsari, Surabaya), Yayasan Cahaya Umat Madani (Kedinding Lor Gg. Bugenvil No. 17 Surabaya), Banuru Qoiyyah Islamic Boarding School (Wonorejo Rungkut II / 4, Surabaya), Rodhiatul Bannat Orphanage (Wonocolo Leather Factory III / 36 Surabaya). Then, the Dhuafa who attended the joint break-fast, including: Dhuafa Warga Nginden Baru RT 04 / RW01, Dhuafa Warga Nginden II RT 01 / RW 02, Dhuafa Warga Pumpungan IV RT 03 / RW02.
Before doing the breaking fast together, they first listened to the tausiah from Ustad Fathurrazzi, M.PdI. (Ummi Foundation). A number of Lecturers and Employees of STIE Perbanas Surabaya together with the Orphans and the Dhuafa mingled closely with each other without feeling awkward.
The evening call to prayer was echoing, everyone present rushed to break their fast with the food that had been provided. Smiles and joy radiated on the faces of the orphans. After breaking the fast, they pray in congregation and eat together. It is hoped that this activity can provide benefits to people in need so that in the future STIE Perbanas Surabaya will share its concern for the community again. (Eko)
