In order to improve student academic competence, especially in the fields of capital markets and banking, STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a guest lecture "Option Futures and Risk Management", on Wednesday-Thursday, June 8-9 2016. Located in lecture rooms B301 and B302 STIE Perbanas Surabaya , the guest lecture this time was attended by a number of Bachelor of Management students who are currently taking Advanced Financial Management courses and Financial Markets & Institutions.

On that occasion, the speakers who were presented were Prof. Arie Buijs from Professor Emeritus Of Ultrecht University, Netherlands. He has delivered a variety of materials related to investment and the stock market that occur in international markets. In addition, he also gave a glimpse of the stock market phenomenon that occurred in the Netherlands. The material is presented not just theory alone, but also practice questions to students which then hold a joint discussion about points that need to be explained in depth.

Met separately, the Head of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Dr. Muazaroh, SE., MT., Explained that this guest lecture is a routine agenda held by the Bachelor of Management study program. The material for this guest lecture is derivative markets, one of the lecture materials on the stock market and financial institutions. The reason the derivative financial market material was given in the guest lecture was because the material was classified as a bit difficult. So, his party decided to bring in experts in the field so that the material presented could be received clearly and easily understood.

Through this guest lecture process, STIE Perbanas students are expected to be able to practice and apply the capital market theory applied by the Dutch in the Indonesian capital market. The reason is, the capital market in the Netherlands can be said to be first in comparison to the Indonesian state so that the practice of the capital market is already very good and advanced.
