The atmosphere of emotion and touching the heart now surrounds the closing of the 2019 Period I Graduation Ceremony of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. How could it not be, the girl who was born in Pacitan, September 29, 1997 shows her pride in the figure of her parents. In the middle of the graduation ceremony yesterday, Saturday (22/6) at Vasa Hotel Surabaya, a graduate whose full name is Tanza Dona Pertiwi, S.E., gave a bouquet of flowers to her parents as a symbol of love for both of them.

The second child of the Kardiono and Suratun couple comes from a less fortunate family. In order to reach the hope of raising the status of parents, the girl who is familiarly called Tanza admitted that she was very lucky to be able to study at STIE Perbanas Surabaya and graduated with a Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) of 3.93.

"The biggest motivation for this lecture is that I want to raise the degree of parents. The reason for choosing sharia economics is because I want to play a role as the generation that develops the sharia economy in Indonesia," he said.

The best graduate of the first batch of the Bachelor of Sharia Economics Study Program (Prodi) STIE Perbanas Surabaya is now working at one of the well-known banks, namely Bank Central Asia (BCA) as Admin Support. Even though her father's profession is a builder and her mother is a farmer, Tanza doesn't stop her from achieving her bright dreams for the future.

During college, Tanza and his two friends Nia Anista and Ristria Rendrarini have innovated by making mango cereal products that can treat diarrhea. In addition, Tanza has won several achievements, including: 2019 Student Creativity Program (PKM) Grant Funding winner, 1st place in Esaay Competition at the STIE Perbanas Surabaya library, 3rd place in the Bussines Plan Competition by FISIP UNAIR, and STIE Internal PKM Dest Evaluation. When met after graduation, his father, Tanza, Kardiono, admitted that he was shocked and did not expect there to be a touching event for him. According to him, Tanza being able to study and getting a decent job has become the pride of his and his family. So, the full scholarship program really helps their children to study and achieve their goals.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., stated that the campus he currently leads also cares for underprivileged children to study through the Scholarship Program. These scholarships are routinely given annually to a number of students. This is in line with the aspirations of the Indonesian nation in educating the nation's children in the field of education.

Then, the decision of the best graduate is certainly based on various criteria set by the campus. Among them: the highest GPA among all graduates in each study program, Thesis / LKP examinations passed the main exam (without repeating), never committed academic violations, had academic or non-academic achievements, and was active in student organization activities.
