Supporting Digital Product Marketing: UHW Perbanas Lecturers Assist PKK Mothers in Sidoarjo

Lecturers from Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas provided training in Digital Marketing and Cake Making to the women of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group. Located in Bluru Kidul Housing, RW 14, Sidoarjo Regency, the UHW Perbanas team assisted the mothers in becoming more aware of social media and intelligently utilizing business opportunities.
The PKK group of Bluru Kidul RW 14 has been active in various non-profit activities. On the other hand, they must also strive to improve their families' economic conditions. Currently, they manage household waste and utilize medicinal family plants (TOGA), but the results have not been significant and are still managed minimally.
Dr. Muazaroh, S.E., M.T., a UHW Perbanas lecturer, offered assistance to the PKK group in Bluru Kidul through a series of gradual training sessions and the provision of applications that simplify financial management. She prepared several training modules, including: Cake Making, Digital Marketing, Packaging Design, Financial Record-Keeping for Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKM), and the provision of a web-based financial application.
"We are doing all this for the PKK group as a form of Community Service. Eventually, they are expected to generate additional income after these activities," Dr. Muazaroh explained during the training session on Sunday (22/9).
In addition to the digital marketing training, Muazaroh added, the PKK mothers were also invited to practice making cakes on the same day. They learned firsthand about ingredients, measurements, and the baking process. "This can serve as a foundation for the mothers to create business opportunities in their community," Muazaroh added.
Meanwhile, Rudiani, the Chair of PKK RT 04 RW 14, expressed her delight at the opportunity to learn together, which has enhanced the skills of the PKK mothers. "My hope is that in the future, the mothers can become more self-sufficient and continue to improve their welfare," she said.
This activity is part of the 2024 Ministry of Education and Culture's Assistance Program through Community Service, entrusted to UHW Perbanas lecturers. The lecturer team includes Dr. Muazaroh, S.E., M.T. (Chair), Reza Tianto, S.Si., M.MT., and Ari Cahya P., S.Kom., M.Kom.
