Surabaya, January 30, 2024 - The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas held a "Learning with FEB" event on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the 10th Floor Hall of University of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas II. The event was attended by 110 high school students from various schools in Surabaya, namely:

1. SMA Wachid Hasyim Surabaya

2. Adhikawacana Vocational School

3. SMK IPEMS

4. Trimurti High School

5. Shafta High School

6. Hang Tuah 1 High School

7. SMKN 10 Surabaya.

 

The main purpose of this event is to provide education and insight to high school students regarding materials specifically in the field of Economics and Business. In addition, this event is also expected to help students in determining the right choice of majors for their future. The materials taught to the participants are:

1. Introduction to SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Software

2. Stock Investment Practices for Beginners Using Virtual Trading

3. Sharia Capital Market Training

4. MYOB Accounting Training

5. Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Bank Operations Training.

 

The "Learning with FEB" event began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Dr. Lutfi S.E., M.Fin. In his remarks, he said that the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas is committed to providing the best education for its students. He also hoped that this event could be useful for high school students in making their future choices.

The event then continued with the Learning Together with FEB session which presented five different materials with competent presenters in their fields. The first material was "Bank Operations Training" with Speakers Mrs. Chitra Laksmi Rithmaya, S.E., M.M. , Dr. Anggraeni, S.E., M.Si. , Mr. Herwin Ardianto, S.Pd., M.M. , and Mr. Rohmad Fuad Armansyah, S.E., M.Si. The second material was "MYOB Accounting Training" with the speaker Mrs. Dr. Putri Wulanditya, S.E., M.Ak. CPSAK. The third material was "Sharia Capital Market Training" with the speaker Dr. Dra. Ec. Wiwik Lestari, M.Si. The fourth material "Stock Investment Practices for Beginners Using Virtual Trading" with the speaker Dr. Linda Purnama Sari, S.E., M.Si. And the last material is "Introduction to SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Software" with the speaker Mrs. Nur'aini Rokhmania, S.E., M.Si., CTA. And Dr. Nurul Hasanah Uswati Dewi, S.E., M.Si., CTA.

The high school students seemed enthusiastic about participating in this Learning Together with FEB session. They actively asked questions to the speakers. This shows that they have high curiosity and want to get as much information as possible about the world of Economics and Business.

The "Learning with FEB" event at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas was closed with a question and answer session and the presentation of souvenirs to the best participants I, II, and III in each class of different materials and also a Campus Tour session. The high school students who attended this event claimed to get many benefits.

"This event is interesting for me. I get a lot of information and new knowledge that is useful for me in the future. In addition, we were also given the opportunity to tour the campus, it was very exciting" - one of the high school students.

"I am very happy to be able to participate in this event. The event was very informative and inspirational. I became more motivated to continue my education to college level." - one of the high school students
